Hi ,

Does Oracle 10 supports Message Broker 5.0 CSD9?

we are getting the below error while running the mqsicreatebroker command:

BIP2371E: Database statement 'CREATE TABLE BKADMIN.BSUBSCRIPTIONS ( BrokerUUID RAW(16) NOT NULL , ClientId RAW(254) NOT NULL , SubscriptionId RAW(60) NOT NULL , Topic LONG RAW, SubPoint RAW(128), Filter LONG RAW, Expiration RAW(3, Creation RAW(3, Options NUMBER, SubInfo LONG RAW, PRIMARY KEY(BrokerUUID , SubscriptionId) )' could not be executed.
A message flow node attempted to execute a database statement. However, the database returned an error when executing the statement 'CREATE TABLE BKADMIN.BSUBSCRIPTIONS ( BrokerUUID RAW(16) NOT NULL , ClientId RAW(254) NOT NULL , SubscriptionId RAW(60) NOT NULL , Topic LONG RAW, SubPoint RAW(128), Filter LONG RAW, Expiration RAW(3, Creation RAW(3, Options NUMBER, SubInfo LONG RAW, PRIMARY KEY(BrokerUUID , SubscriptionId) )'.
If necessary, correct the message flow and redeploy the message broker.
BIP2321E: Database error: ODBC return code '-1'.
The message broker encountered an error whilst executing a database operation. The ODBC return code was '-1'. See the following messages for information obtained from the database pertaining to this error.
Use the following messages to determine the cause of the error. This is likely to be such things as incorrect datasource or table names. Then correct either the database or message broker configuration.
BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State 'HY000'; Native Error Code '1754'; Error Text '[DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver][Oracle]
The error has the following diagnostic information: SQL State 'HY000' SQL Native Error Code '1754' SQL Error Text '[DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver][Oracle]ORA-01754: a table may contain only one column of type LONG '
This message may be accompanied by other messages describing the effect on the message broker itself. Use the reason identified in this message with the accompanying messages to determine the cause of the error.

BIP8070E: Exception accessing database table executing SQL statement 'CREATE TABLE BKADMIN.BSUBSCRIPTIONS ( BrokerUUID RAW(16) NOT NULL , ClientId RAW(254) NOT NULL , SubscriptionId RAW(60) NOT NULL , Topic LONG RAW, SubPoint RAW(128), Filter LONG RAW, Expiration RAW(3, Creation RAW(3, Options NUMBER, SubInfo LONG RAW, PRIMARY KEY(BrokerUUID , SubscriptionId) )': SQL state '1754'; exception 'ImbException'.
An SQL command has failed.
Ensure that the broker's database is available. Examine the exception and SQL state code to determine and correct the cause of the error.

Cheers,
Aditya

The question is not, Does Oracle support Message Broker, the question is : does Message Broker suport Oracle?

And the answer for CSD 9 of MB v5.0 is almost certainly no. And of course, you don't have any support at all for MB v5.0 at any CSD, unless you are paying for extended support from IBM.

Upgrade, and you will be supported. Jump straight to v6.1.

Thanks.

We have extended support for MB5.0

We will upgrade to MB to V6.1.3

Cheers,
Aditya

MB Version 5 supports oracle 10g..

We resolved this issue after correcting the setting of ODBC driver for MB.

If the Product documentation does not mention Oracle 10g as a supported database for Broker 5 then you should probably say the following

MB Version 5 works with Oracle 10g..
