Hi,

everything is running okay but when i restart my server, i can't connect to the configmgr using the toolkit. my configmgr is started (the process bipconfigmgr.exe is running) but it is not working properly as it is not listening to the SYSTEM.BROKER.CONFIG.QUEUE. the open input count is zero. i tried recreating the cm and broker and same thing happen after a restart.

btw i am running on Windows server with WMB 6.1.0.5. any help appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have any errors in the event viewer once the machine is restarted?

If you are trying to connect to local configuration manager, ensure that lanmanserver start value data is 3. This should be set to 3 in both the server and client machines.

After changing the value to 3 you have to restart the system by disconnecting the cable.

Check that you have MQ (including the MQ classes for Java) and Java 1.5 installed correctly, and that your profile is set up correctly and refers to these. The docs can help you do this.
If this doesn't work, raise a PMR.

You might also want to create another ConfigMgr and see if that can start; this will tell you whether it's a problem with that specific component (or its queue manager), or whether it's a system/environment problem.

Cheers

Hi,

There is nothing in the FDC and the listener is running. why is there a need to change the lanmanserver? All the MQ java and java 1.5 is correctly installed. I created a new one it can start.. i believe it is the Configmgr not working cos it is not listening to the queue.

Thanks

I would entirely ignore the lanmanserver value. That seems completely random.

What is in the Event Viewer Application logs after a restart?

What happens if you restart the configmgr manually?

i sometimes have the same issue after server restart. in my case, MQ queuemanager does not start up automatically (although it is ticked), so the configmgr connection to MQ failes.
i have to stop configmgr, start MQ queuemanager, start configmgr, then it works.

What made you suggest this? What this based on scientific fact (unbeknown to me) or is it just a gut feeling?

Can we get a emoticon of a little yellow head stabbing in the dark?

Theres now been two posts on this thread that warrant such an icon!
