hi again,
I remember i saw it in the past but i can;t find it.
is there an option to increase the number of the AMQERR file or it stays 3 forever?

Yes. You can not increase the number of Amqerr file but you can up the size.

Many sysadmins use a script that archives the oldest error log at qmgr shutdown. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Depending on how long the qmgrs up are and how long it takes to cycle through the error log files, the archive taken at qmgr shutdown could be almost useless.
In an attempt to archive all the error log msgs, set up a script as a cron that checks the modify date/time on AMQERR03.LOG at regular intervals. If it has changed, take an archive copy of the file.
