Hello everyone,
Just this week, I've noticed that one of my agents appears to get locked or hung.
This is an MQ FTE Client installation, and I can see the transfer go into STARTED status on the Coordination Queue Manager. When I attempt to PING the client agent, it times out. When I attempt to STOP the agent, it says that there is no response from the agent. When I attempt to START the agent, I am told that there is an instance of the agent already running. (And I perform those tasks in that order)
The only way to successfully recycle the agent seems to be to kill the java.exe process associated with the agent, and then execute the start command again.
This is a WINDOWS environment (both ends). The logs for the agent only seem to document when it was started and stopped, successfully or not. This agent is started by a WINDOWS PROCESS that one of our developers created, in order to execute a BATCH file which contains the start command.
Any ideas or direction would, as usual, be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone for the help I've recieved in the past and continue to receive here. _________________ "Don't take life too seriously... you won't get out of it alive..." |

Well, if anyone is watching this thread, I still haven't been able to find a fix for this situation, yet.
It was suggested that I use a new environment variable, MQNOREMPOOL=1 in order to address this problem. I've done that on 3 machines, and I am still monitoring them, although 1 of them has already experienced the same problem even after having that put in place.
I'm beginning to think that this is more of a JAVA issue than an FTE issue.
Any thoughts? _________________ "Don't take life too seriously... you won't get out of it alive..." |

Had to open a PMR with IBM to get this fixed.
The solution was to upgrade my coordination queue manager version of MQ from 7.0.0.1 to 7.0.1.0.
Also, where ever there was an MQ FTE agent, I needed to install this additional fix: 7.0.1.0-WS-MQFTE-JavaVM-LAIC62582.
It's been working fine for nearly 3 weeks now, although it seems that I can no longer place files to a UNC path desitination. See my other post for that issue.
Thanks! _________________ "Don't take life too seriously... you won't get out of it alive..." |
