Hello, all,
Is there anybody who experienced in designing the architecture of workload balancing for http(s) incoming messages, such as SOAP?
I'm not sure how I can achieve it.
Is there an applicable component in WMB like "edge component" in WAS?
Please help.
Many thanks in advance,
Cheers, |

Thank you very much for your help, TonyD.
It seems that I will need a network dispatcher which requires additional cost.
Further cost is a problem.. |

In v6.1.0.3 and later, broker comes with the HTTP Proxy Servlet.
In v6.1.0.2 and earlier, you can use SupportPac IE01.
They're basically the same, the one included in 6.1.0.3 is an enhancement. |

Thanks, mqjeff.
Well, a servlet engine will be needed but as you know, WMB doesn't have one.
I understand that its configuration tasks may not be easy.
Thank you very much, everyone.
I appreciate your help.
Cheers,

This is one of the few cases where I will say that Tomcat/Geronimo is a perfectly usable, suitable free alternative to a paid solution.
In general, the ProxyServlet assumes you have an existing HTTP load balancing infrastructure that you want to incorporate Broker into, but it does NOT assume that that environment is built out of WAS or even IBM specific HTTP components.
If you don't have such infrastructure already, it does indeed require configuration tasks that may not be easy. |
