Hi All,
I am trying to start an activity by sending(please note i am sending the message via a java program; not the WorkFlow) an program invocation message to a UPES.

I get an error :
FMC01101E The XML document is not a valid MQSeries Workflow XML document.

It is pretty obvious that my XML message is not perfect.
I have referred to the Programming Guide for the XML tags, but they have provided many a tags
I needed to ask which are the necessary bare minimum XML tags for sending a valid program invocation message.

Please advice,

I am afraid you can't do that using an XML interface.
See the supported functions in Chapter "Sending requests to MQ Workflow".

You should send the message to the EXEXMLINPUTQ of workflow. Workflow would put a message to your UPES inputQ.
