So, whenever I try to start a queue manager it gives me the following error:
AMQ7257: The MQ service must be running to perform the requested operation.
exitvalue = 74
Please help. |

And the service is not running because?
Please help us to help you. We cannot:
1. See your screen.
2. See your error logs/eventvwr output.
3. Even begin to help you with such paltry information. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Thanks exerk and sorry for not including any information in my post,
I was able to fix the problem - after adding the local user MUSR_MQADMIN to the "Administrators" group I no longer get the error - although I am not sure if this is the ideal solution.
My tasklist output shows that the following programs have started up after booting - after which I can run MQ Explorer and start up my queue manager.
C:\>tasklist | findstr mq
amqsvc.exe 1816 Services 0 5,688 K
amqmsrvn.exe 1908 Services 0 9,404 K
amqmtbrn.exe 5012 Console 2 12,608 K |

Correct, it is not. Better to fix the underlying problem. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
