Hi,
I have an MQ admin who has to recreate production brokers & configmgr prior to every major deploy (don't ask - he has spent 2 weeks talking to IBM and this is the best workaround they can give)
He would like to be able to turn off discovery before starting the configmgr (i.e. not using the configmgr API afterwards).
I am familiar with a Windows environment setting to configure this prior to starting
export MQSIJVERBOSE=-DMQSI_SYNCTIMEMINSOVERRIDE=-1
Is anyone aware of an equivalent for Unix? This is v6.1.0.4
Thanks,
Vicky |

Hi,
That environment variable will work on all platforms.

Thanks.
We tried it because as you say we expected it to work, but it does not seem to work (API exerciser still shows the previous value - or maybe the default value, I'll need to check tomorrow).
IBM support have apparently insisted we use the CMP API instead which is actually fine because the samples are pretty easy to modify even with my limited java skills... |

I just heard that setting MQSIJVERBOSE is dynamic - i.e. will not show in API exerciser, as it does not set the persisted value. |
