Hi,
I have the following queries to be cleared :

1) Is there a facillity in Java to create FDL files dynamically ?
The requirement is when a set of users register a particular website
a program needs to be running in the background which takes these users and creates FDL's of it dynamically and updates into the RTC.
Please send a sample code for this if possible.
2) Is there a limitation on the number of users in the Buildtime Client ?
If yes what is the number ?

Thx in advance
Venki

Nothing is provided, you will need to write your own. We have a product that would help you, but it would not be a turnkey solution. See MQSeries Transaction pack WA08 for details.

There is no published limit.

1. There's a support pack WO02. I am not sure if it is in Java but you may consider looking at it. It does just what you are looking for but I don't know if you can integrate it effectively with your application.
My personal opinion about this support pack is that it serves only as a model to look at rather than seriously using it.

2. I have effectively imported atleast 12,000 users into the buildtime (though breaking the FDL into chunks of 2000 users). When I closed and started the buildtime it took me atleast 20 minutes to load (I was having a remote DB2 BT DB).

Creating FDL (especially for user definitions) is a fairly trivial matter. The syntax is well documented in the MQWF manuals.

You'll also have to invoke a native fmcibie process to import the definitions, there is no out-of-the-box (Java or otherwise) API in MQWF to import or export user definitions.
