Hi,
My Toolkit doesn't seem to want to recognise the CONTAINS function. When I code something like:
Code: |
IF CONTAINS(refLoad.manifestDescription, refMail.EXT_VALUE) THEN |
I get a red cross saying 'Incorrect function or procedure name "CONTAINS" or argument count.'
Also, get the same for STARTSWITH and ENDSWITH functions. Has anyone else seen this? I've had a look at toolkit fixpack 4 description, but I don't see any mention of a fix relating to this. Would try installing it, but I'll be in the pub by the time it finishes downloading ...
Anyone else seen this? Anyone on 6.1.0.4 know if it's OK in their toolkit?
Or am I doing something stupid (if so, go easy on me, it's Friday afternoon)
Thanks
P.S. I know I can use POSITION and check for 0 return instead ... but it's in the infocenter and I wanted to use it! |

Well you didn't use the search function, which is a little stupid!
If you had, you'd have found this which describes this problem exactly, and the resolutions to it. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

No, that's a lot stupid. Thanks for saying "a little". I did search, but Google, which obviously threw up huge numbers of irrelevant results for contains and esql ...
Must use the search button here in future, sorry ... |

Never mind, i've found you're other comments to be pretty much spot on, just make sure you bite your tongue before saying "search the forum" to some lazy poster until we've all forgot this day |
