hi,

I have the MB Toolkit in Windows and Broker in AIX m/c. The toolkit is deployed on configuration manager which is in Windows and the broker is on queue manager in AIX. Both the queue managers are connected via the SDR/RCVR Channels. I have execution groups created for this broker.

In AIX,the bipservice and the bipbroker is running. But still am getting the warning in the toolkit saying that the broker is not running.
Am not able to remove the deployed children from the execution group nor am able to deploy new children. I restarted all the services and even I restarted the system, still the same issue persists.

Can u plz help me with this? As am new to MB I am not able to debug the issue, Can u jus tell me how to debug this issue?

And you can see response messages coming back on the response channels?

Nothing on a trans q / DLQ?

Which version of broker are you on?

Did you search for this error code before posting? If you had you may have found this link which may / may not help...
http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22696&highlight=bip1536s

How have you confirmed the messages are coming back over the channels ok?

Hi

The issue still persists. The configuration manager was deleted and recreated again. the database was newly created for a new queue manager but all in vain. Still the same issue.
I have no clue how to proceed further. If any1 has faced this issue earlier please lemme know how to do it.

Hi,

I have 1 more thing to add on. There was an ML (Maintainance level) upgradation, and there was no intercommunication between MB Toolkit and the Broker. So i just wanna know whether this ML upgradation causing some problem? What happens if i revert back this ML upgrade.
I am using WBIMB5. and the broker version on AIX is

$ mqsiservice -v
BIPv500 en US
ucnv Console CCSID 819 dft ucnv CCSID 819
OS ISO8859-1 ICUW ISO-8859-1 ICUA ISO-8859-1

BIP8996I: Version: 500
BIP8997I: Product: WebSphere MQ Integrator
BIP8998I: CMVC Level: S500-CSD08
BIP8999I: Build Type: Production

BIP8071I: Successful command completion.
$

I am using AIX 5.

Can u jus tell me what is the impact of ML upgrade?

Here the AIX version is 5.2 and ML 10 upgrade was done to AIX m/c.
I just happen to read that MB5 supports upgradation to ML 2..
So should we raise a PMR for this?

How are adding the broker in your toolkit?

pls detail the steps.

please not that you must be very very careful when you add a broker to the toolkit. especially with the name.

if you make a mistake in the name , you could end up having problems.

However these hassles have been fixed in v6.

Initially I created a config qmgr, and also a new broker qmgr. created channels between them and they were communicating well.
I created a new DB .
I created a new configuration manager.
Then in the toolkit, if u jus do a right click, u will get add new broker to the topology, tats how i did and gave the name of the broker.

Now the error says that configuration manager unable to register for internal subscriptions.
