Hi,
I have installed DB2 UDB Enterprise Server Edition V8.2 , and the OS is Windows Vista Enterprise Edition.
It was installed successfully. But i am not able to create database either from command line processor or control center.
When i issue the 'create database someDB' command it is giving the following message
'No start database manager command was issued'
So, i issued a 'start database manager' command
But it says 'database manager is already active'.

so, i thought of installing it again. But while unisntalling i got an alert saying 'DB2vsreg stopped working'. I debugged it and i got something-"System.Io.FileNotFoundException occured in db2vsreg.exe Additional Info: could not load file or assembly 'IBM.Data.DB2,version=8.1.2.0 blah blah'"

Can anyone help me out on this?

OK, first thing, this is a WebSphere MQ oriented forum, not a database forum. Second thing, it would help us to help you if we know the context of what you are trying to achieve. Most importantly, what does the installation documentation say about supported Windows platforms?

Moving to a more appropriate forum.

That snippet of information tells me that you are in the right place - without that information, the context of the question is unknown, and the post appears to be DB2-only related.

And you haven't answered my question regarding the documentation and Windows, so I went and looked and found THIS. The rest I leave up to you...
