Not with the MQExplorer. You can do this with some of the support pacs & tools; if you search the forum you'll find some discussions on various methods. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Hi,
I downloaded the support pac and following the instructions in the readme.txt.
I want to connect to the remote queue manager. I entered the following information
1. Open the location
2.In the location setting, entered the location and the queue manager
3.Enabled the Client.
4.Click configured
entered channel name: SYSTEM.AUTO.SVRCONN
Transport Type: TCP/IP
Connection name:IPAddress(PortNumber)
I get the following error
Error connecting via client to 'queue.manager.1' RC(2059) QMgr not available.
I am able to connect with the MQ Explorer 7.0 but not with this support pack.
Thanks

Isn't this should be a channel with type SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN! _________________ Regards

Are you able to ping the host(where the Qmgr is running) from the machine where MQExplorer is installed?.
Is the QMgr and listener are up and running? |

Search the forum - this is a very common error and there's been a lot of discussion round it. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
