Hi,
I look at STRMQTRC(start MQSeries trace)command in MQseries administration book.but there is no proper documentation for that command.I would like to know how can it is useful?i know mqsi tracing.is this related to mqsi trace or what else?

The trace simply records all the MQ activity. The only time we've used the trace was at IBM's request, to assist in them in problem resolution.

Typically, when someone has a problem with their MQSeries system and calls IBM support, IBM asks for the queue manager log files, and any FDC files that may have been generated. If this doesn't give a conclusive explanation of the problem, and it's repeatable, the next step is to have the customer run the trace command when the problem arises. There is a separate command used to "format" the trace, to make it human readable...

The MQSI tracing is separate from the MQSeries tracing. They use different commands and store things in different places. |
