If by "qualify" you mean pass the Administration exam, then check out the IBM site.

If by "qualify" you mean fulfil the role of an administrator, you also need to know how to leverage the WMQ set up, explain best use to the developers, locate problems and deal with the statement "WMQ lost my message"

Well, you can review the certification exam to see if you've missed things.

You can also consider the Way of the Trout. This can be very useful for Admins of all kinds.

One essential skill is being able to search for things.

Very closely followed by "It's all your fault!".

IBM offers WMQ System Adminstration courses for both midrange (Win, UNIX0 and z/OS.

IBM also offers WMQ Application Development courses. While not mandatory, it's very hepful for sysadmins to understand what mq programmers do. What you do administratively, programmers can undo with MQI calls.

And if it's not too late, a few other suggestions:

1. DRP / HA
2. Security (OAM, Contexts, SSL)
3. Important differences between OSs
4. How logging works
5. Performance tuning
6. Monitoring (Events etc)
7. MQ Clusters - important for HA/DR
8. Both MQI and JMS - not just one of them
9. Complementary products

Focus on being not only an administrator, but an architect. Read articles about best practices etc. Oh, and don't forget to brush up on your inter-politics skills, or you won't survive long..

Luck!
