Hi,
I'm trying to start a Queue Manager;but it is throwing an error stating that there are processes that were previously connected are still running, with error codes AMQ 8041 and AMQ7018.
All my processes in this server are down, but still getting this error. |

It's Windows.
Reboot.
It's MQ v5.3. Install an upgrade to MQ v7 first, and then reboot. |

Not likely to work if processes are still attached to the qmgr.
Make sure all windows monitoring of MQ has been stopped.
review the pids of the processes still running => enable pid column of task manager. Shut down offending application (WAS with MDBs?) or kill pid.
Stop MQ Service in Windows.
Upgrade.
Reboot.
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Another victory for the Windows OS....
...and you should still upgrade from v5.3 _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Where Windows is concerned, when in doubt, reboot...
