Hi everyone.
I work with z/OS 1.4 and WMQ version 6.0 as a MQ Server.
Application department of my company has a java application in Client side on the PC.there is a server connection channel in WMQ.they have a jar file as a properties file for connect to QMGR on the z/OS,they use IP,PORT,QM name,Channel name, number of connections and number of sessions at the jar file.also they use MQCONNECTION FACTORY and SESSIONPOOL and multhiyhread in their applications.
when they test application for TPS=10 or higher with connection=10 and session=10 the channel initiator has high CPU time.
please help me.

You did not specify whether you had the Client Attachment Facility. I will assume you do. I remember somewhere that this might be fixed with some APAR, so check the APAR's out and get to current level with fix packs.

Should the problem persist, you need to open a PMR with IBM.

Have fun

The MQ z/OS CHIN performs all MQI calls on behalf of MQ Clients, so if the client app is performing intensive MQ work the CPU usage of the CHIN will go up, particularly if they are using Message Selectors and the are lots of messages on the queues.
