Hi,
let me give you a brief background of the environment that is in use currently,
MQ: V5.3 (10 QM)
MB: V5 (10 Brokers)
Config Mgr: 2 (on windows, 5 brokers under each config mgr)
Application,Broker DB: Oracle 9.2
OS:Sun Solaris 5.9
gets migrated to
MQ: V6
MB: V6
Config Mgr: No idea as of now
Application,Broker,Config Mgr: Oracle 10
OS:Sun Solaris 5.9
Suggest how many config managers are advisable to be created? on V6 and any surprise that i can expect during components creation after migrating? or is it much similar to the component creation as in V5 as i have hand on experiance on V5,please help me in do's and don'ts after migrating. if any body had done this earlier please suggest |

How about none of the above?
You may have to keep your config mgr until the last and them upgrade it to V6... or you may move the brokers off the V5 configmgr to get them on the V6 one as you move the brokers from one release to the other....
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

whereas in V6 we would be having the config manager in the Unix box where the broker resides, so now suggest me. please note that we dont use pub/sub concept in the broker. |

Moving from v5 to v6.1 is much easier than moving from v2.1 to v5.
Don't bother with v6, move straight to v6.1. |
