Can any one tell me , what's the difference b/w host and application server host . Which ip I need to configure for the adapter. Here the problem is both ips are allowing me connect SAP . But We need One IP which will not be create any problems.

SAP team should give you Hostname and Gateway Host name/ip along with other details to use while creating adapter connection.

In the first screen, you would give Hostname property value, once the connection is successful, add required SAP messages and in the later screen give gateway host details.

Small clarification is required.

I'm not entirely sure about this, but Hostname should be the Application Server hostname.

sap-gateway-host
Specifies the name of the host where the SAP gateway service identified in the sap-gateway-service attribute is running.

Check with SAP team, they can give more details about these.

My SAP has confirmed that,

The Gateway host = Application server host.

They said the application schema s are in Application server and DB has installed in Gateway host.

Now any one tell me ,Can we use host ip for configuration of SAP adapter.
Because , i have configured my adapter with Application server ip , i am able to post IDocs to SAP system. is here my doubt is if i use the Application server, Will it create any problem in the production servers.
