I had apllied fix pack 6.1.0.4 on runtime recently, and my toolkit is on 6.1.0.2 .i want to rollback to 6.1.0.2 is there any other process to rollback from 6.1.0.4 to 6.1.0.2 apart from uninstalling the whole runtime and recreating the broker

You can install 6.1.0.2 in a different location, and stop and start your broker from the 6.1.0.2 shell.

You can install 6.1.0.2 on top of the 6.1.0.4 location, and stop and start your broker from the 6.1.0.2 shell.

You almost certainly want to undeploy and redeploy things in either case.

Hi mqjeff,
Previously we used to work on WMB V6.1.2 and we want to upgrade to WMB V6.1.4 in production environment. We know that it is not a critical process to upgrade to latest version. But, customer is asking about rollback plan, if there is any issue after installing fixpack. One of ours colleague suggested that there is no rollback from wmbv6.1.4 to wmbv6.1.2, and only one solution is to uninstall mbruntime and reinstall it. Do we have any alternative instead of uninstalling entire runtime environment.

Can you elaborate on the reasons for this decision to downlevel?

Incidentally when applying fixpacks, don't forget to use the mqsichangebroker -f command to set the feature level available.

Hi,
Roll back mechanism is a part of technical change request process and as a part of this process, we have to define rollback mechanism for every change applied at product level.
