Hi all,
I'm confused seeing two tech. conferences being held in the same premises at the same time (agenda is a little different).
I would like to know if the below two are actually the same or just share a few sessions commonly.
WebSphere Technical Conference
Transaction and Messaging Technical conference
And which would be the better one to attend from past experience and ofcourse the agenda.
Regards. |

I would expect these to be different conferences in the same venue.
Whether you can "pick and mix" tracks across both is a question worth asking IBM.
If you want material on WMQ and WMB choose the transaction and messaging. |

The 2009 European WebSphere Technical Conference and the Transaction and Messaging Technical Conference are 4.5 day events held 19-23 October 2009 in Hamburg, Germany. These conferences have earned the reputation for delivering deep technical content targeted at architects, developers, integrators and administrators by offering lectures and hands-on labs that focus on the best practices and practical skills required to run today’s enterprises. This year will be no exception. Attendees will be able to attend sessions from both conferences while only paying the conference fee for one of the conferences.
WebSphere Technical Conference attendees expect to expand their knowledge of WebSphere administration, architecture, development and integration, including a focus on the IBM SOA fundamentals and advanced topics. They also expect to gain insight into IBM’s software strategy and learn about the latest development directions for the products in the WebSphere software platform. Transaction & Messaging Technical Conference attendees can also expect to expand their knowledge of CICS and the WebSphere Messaging family of products and learn how new features of these products enable SOA, and support implementation of a robust ESB with high volume transactional support |
