I've recently download the MA12 Service pac to my client's z/OS Mainframe.

In the MA12.PDS I have the following members:
CAPDEFS
CKTIBAT2
CKTIEND
COMPILE
ENDCKTI
JOBCARD
RUNCKTI
RUNDEFS
TRIGPROC

Missing are copybooks e.g. CMQTMV referenced in the the CKTIBAT2 Cobol program and utilities e.g. CSQUTIL referenced in the RUNDEFS JCL.

I'm new to this client so these components may be available somewhere in the client's environment that I'm unaware of.

I'd also like a better narrative description of the setup and execution of the MA12 Batch Trigger Job and Program and the paramaters required in the Message Queue definitions that will enable and facilitate the Batch Job Trigger provided in the MA12 Service Pac.

Any thoughts or suggestions.?

CMQTMV and RUNMQSC are in the MQ product datasets, wherever they have been installed, thlq.SCSQCOBC and thlq.SCSQAUTH.

for the setup and usage of MA12 .... it does not differ from any other triggering mechanism in mqseries. you need initiation queue and process definition and put it all together into the local queue you want to get triggered. if you are not familiar with triggering at all see the proper mq manuals (APG i think).

For the required jcl see the comments at the beginning of the cktibat program.

look at your SMTP Target libs there should be one library with COBC on the end. Look in there for the copybook. You can find your suporting libs by looking at the QMGR and looking under STEPLIB. You should see a *AUTH in there. This will give your the HLQ to the datasets used in your clients installation.
