Hi,
Did anyone use MQTester tool developed by CommerceQuest? It can be plugged in with Loadrunner. I installed Loadrunner, MQ Server and MQTester.
I need to put a load of messages on an input queue and read the responses from output queue. How can I use MQTester for this?
I appreciate your inputs.
Thanks,

Or you can download Support Pac MA0T for free, read the instructions and fulfill your requirements with that tool. |

It has been a while since I used MQTester. However, as I remember you can record an application putting and getting messages. This then generates a C program which you customise using the MQTester API. You can then set up parallel sessions in Loadrunner to play back, with timing intervals.
Hope this helps |

Thanks Crossland.
Instead of recording an application, can't we use it directly to dump # of messages on queue? In my case, if I dump messages, then application will read. It doesn't have any other interface except reading from the queue. So needs to create this scenario in loadrunner.
Thanks,

Could you record RFHUTIL putting the messages from the file?
You could then play this back using Loadrunner, scaling volumes up as required. |
