MQExplorer plus SupportPac MS0S.

Note : The Command server has to be in running state of that remote queue manager. (when you add that remote queue manager in to your MQ Explorer)

You must have a local default QMgr which has message channel definitions (e. g. sender/receiver pairs) to your remote QMgr (and back). The runmqsc -w command then connects to your local default QMgr and sends the MQ commands via the message channels to the remote QMgr (SampleQM) and puts it into the command queue. The remote QMgr must know your local default QMgr - e. g. by having a XmitQ named like your local QMgr or with a QMgr alias - and appropriate channel definitions.
Additionally on the remote QMgr the command server must be running.

This means you have
- no local default QMgr
- the local default QMgr has no sender channel definition to the remote QMgr
- the remote QMgr has no receiver channel definition from your local default QMgr
- the command server is not running on the remote QMgr
- the remote QMgr does not know about your local default QMgr
- the remote QMgr has no sender channel definition to your local default QMgr
- the local default QMgr has no receiver channel definition from the remote QMgr
Hint: The wait interval -w 30 defines a timeout, how long runmqsc waits for answer messages. Normally an interval of 5 (seconds) would be enough.

If the command server wouldn't have been in running state then I would have got error while connecting it from MQ Explorer (later on when I connected it.)

Means, the channels, xmitq between the queue managers are not present and remote queue manager cant be located.
I agree on that.
And I can make you sure that the command server is/was in running state of that remote queue manager.

Of course, but this should be only a (hopefully) complete list of requirements, to enable remote administration via runmqsc.
