Hello,
I have several questions on MQWF which don't relate to each over (all thes options can be found in the BT).
Q1) On the "Network Tab", in the "domain properties", when you go to the "Program Tab" , you have the following options :
Execution user : Agent or Starter.
What doe this mean and involve ?
Q2) At the same place in BT, you have
"Execution Mode : Normal or Safe".
Same question.
Q3) At the same place in BT, you have
"trust mode : check box".
Same question.
Q4) When you go in the program definition in BT, you have the option :
"Program can run unattended : check box".
Same question.
Q5)When you ask for info with "fmcautil", you have one parameter
"Operation Mode" : "robust".
What is the meaning of this parameter and the options avalaible.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. |

I have found that the information in the Network tab is very poorly documented. The best information I have ever been able to find is by using the Help in Buildtime.
If you find anything other than that help info... please let us know.

Q4:
If you say that the program can run unattended then
in a process an activity can be started "automatic"ally.
Otherwise you can't (it throws an error when you verify the process)

Q4:
For this I am not sure if Venny is right, but from what I understand, when you say a "Program can run unattended", it means it should run on the Server ( PES, UPES) rather than on the Client PEA.

Oh OK. If a program has to be executed by something other than the PEA then we MUST check the box 'Program can run unattended'.
But all programs that can run unattended need not necessarily be executed by UPES or PES.
Thanks for pointing this out laze. I must admit I am not good with Buildtime. It's all fbaril3's fault. He woke me up when I was having a nice nap.

yeah, he was real pissed off that nobody is answering his questions, but little does he know that we are expecting the answers too from him.

In no particular order, here are my notes on those fields that I recognized. Except Program can run unattended which I think has already been answered. I make no guarantees on this information, as I said originally, this stuff is NOT well documented at all.
Execution user Required. Agent indicates that the program is run under the operating system id of the PEA/PES. Starter indicates that the operating system id of the activity starter is to be used.
Execution mode Required. Normal indicates that messages sent are
non-persistent. Safe indicates that messages sent are persistent.
Trust mode Optional. Allows for a program to get a Correlation Id which can be passed to another program which then will have access to the containers. _________________ John McDonald
