Its my utopian concept.
Can I run FMCIBIE commands through a program? Say I create a Java program and I would like to run FMCIBIE commands ( for that matter all workflow related command line statements) from the program and trap the responses and do further processing. Is that possible?

to invoke executables via java

java.lang.Runtime.exec(String [])

We do this all the time. In fact you guys might have our WorkflowStaffing API set and UserAdminFacility (I dont know for sure), and if you do you can see a sample of trapping output from fmcibie in the WorkflowStaffing API.
