I'm getting prepared to deploy my first production msgflow using the FileInput/FileOutput nodes and FTP under WMB v6.1. I want to externalize the FTP server parameters and configure them through the Bar File Editor.
On the Configure tab of the Bar File Editor for our FileInput node, there is no entry for Server Directory, as on the FTP property tab of the node. The other FTP tab properties are present in the Bar File Editor.
I tried setting properties on the FTP tab above (checking check box, etc), same result in Bar Editor.
I also promoted the Server Directory property from the FileInput node and re-added the msgflow to the bar, same result.
The table in Reference/Message Flows from the InfoCenter clearly says Server Directory is configurable.
I need it be for proper generalization of the bar file. I'd rather set properties on the bar file than to setup configurable services definitions for every FTP user and partner in DEV, QA, and PROD.
Can you provide any insight on this? |

This looks like a bug - the server directory should be configurable, but like you, I can only set it on the node properties, not from the Bar editor. You should open a PMR with IBM Support.
