We are going to move our lab environment to 2.1/CSD03. Went to download it and saw that there are now two sections:
MQSeries Integrator (v1 and v2) = U483515.tar.Z
MQSeries Integrator Broker = U483937.tar.Z
My assumption is that the MQSeries Integrator Broker section is just a subset of the MQSeries Integrator download, but I wanted to confirm this.
Who has the scoop?

I'd say u should download the one, which is linked to ...
MQSeries Integrator (v1 and v2) = U483515.tar.Z

The trial separation has begun.
I think the divorce is coming soon. I just wonder if IBM will be paying alimony?
Thanks for the info, Robert.

It is anyone's guess. Relationships between companies is always a fragile one. I'm guessing that Sybase acquiring NEON didn't help any, since IBM and Sybase have an old rivalry based on databases. I bet IBM hates paying royalties to Sybase.
I have a soft side for NEON (used to work there), but IBM can play as rough as any of the other big boys. And money is the bottom line.
We could have a discussion for days about how NEON has positioned itself, etc. (Should IBM have bought NEON?)
My advice is to learn and know MRM and keep up with its improvements. I suspect that it will slowly start to address any functionality that you are presently using NEON for.
As an old finance professor once told me:
"Forecasting is difficult......especially if it is about the future."
Good Luck |
