Hi All,
I need some help with deleting a QM from a cluster.
I had 4 QM in a cluster and i messed up one of the queue manager and its cluster sender / reciever channels..and now i want to get it out of the cluster and put it back in again fresh...
But i have these auto defined channels which just don't go away...
I know we can't delete them..
I have tried refresh cluster reset cluster by stopping all channels..and switching on/off the REPOS attribute also..but still the QM does not go away from the cluster..
I also followed the documentation in MQ Cluster guide..and none of those simple steps works..
Can someone tell me how i can remove a QM from a cluster?.
and please dont link me to the IBM documentation ..it doesn't work..
i have tried it like 10 times but it doesn't work..
Sorry for my rants..but i m just so pissed off because I am not able to remove the QM from the cluster even after 2 days..now..
Thanks. _________________ Thimk |

Ok i have managed to remove the QM from the cluster..after many trials and errors...
Now How do i get rid of the cluster information in the queue manager..
if i do a dis clusqmgr(*)...it shows up all the cluster channels and all..
How do i remove this..
Should i just remove all the messages from SYSTEM.CLUSTER.REPOSITORY.QUEUE?.
Thanks. _________________ Thimk |

No, you dont have to do that.
Simply do a refresh cluster(cluster name) repos(yes)
and this will clear out all the auto defined channels and all..
and now its completlely removed...
there problem solved...

No - he's trying to increase post count without being moderated for spamming, so his title matches his picture.

Oddly, steps required to remove a qmgr from a cluster is documented in the WMQ Clusters manual. Who would have thought... _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

why no one pointed out that one can't use "REPOS(YES)" on a full repository cluster qmgr? |

Probably because most people lost the will to live about the third post down... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
