I am having MQ client and TDE client installed on an AIX platform. Now when I issue the dspmqver command it does not return a result. Even when using the mqm userid to login I am unable to get a result from the dspmqver command. How do I solve this problem?. |

Be more specific about what you mean by "no result".
Does it tell you it can't find the command? Or does it just give you back a command prompt with no output?
Copy and paste the command and whatever it does result in into a posting here.
Also, when in doubt about what version of software is installed on a machine, you can always ask the system administrator. |

Couple of questions:
Do you have MQ server installed on your AIX machine or only a client?.
If you installed MQ server, do you see anything under /usr/mqm directory. If you have installed MQ server, the MQ libraries/ binaries will be under /usr/mqm
Let us know...thanks. |

dspmqver is only for MQ server and not for MQ clients AFAIK.

Nope.
Masteringmq - Please talk to your AIX system administrator. As usual, you are trying to lean on this forum for training in basic stuff that you should a) be reading about yourself, b) be relying on *local* people to help you with, c) failing to provide proper diagnostic information even when specifically given instructions on what to post. |

I will copy and paste the screenshot first thing I get back to work. It would be nice if I can alter the code for the dspmqver to display an exception message |
