If we want to dump messages from the Z/OS queue manager log, is the Queue Manager has to be down? We are in a SEV 1 and it looks like we lost some messages.

Refer to the WMQ z/OS System Administration manual. In the v6 manual: Chapter 21. The log print utility (CSQ1LOGP). It has example JCL.
