Hi All,

This is regarding DLQ Handling,

I know that there are some reasons for the qmgr to place incoming messages into qmgr dead-letter-queue.

One of the reason is when queue reaches to max. depth. But while I was trying with a test program when queue reaches to max depth , I am getting error code to client program and it is not placing to specified DLQ.

Can any body explains me when exactly a qmgr puts messages to specified DLQ

Thanks in Advance.

If you are trying to put to a Queue from a remote QMGR after it has reached it's limit then the message will be put to the dead letter queue. If the Queue is local to the QMGR it errors out.

Yes, the difference in "full queue" behavior when putting to local queues versus remote queues has been explained more fully in previous discussions. I suggest you use the search tool and look for terms like "full queue dead letter" etc... You should find what you're looking for
