Hello folks,
Our current environment is configured as follow:
Server1 has QueueManager1 on AIX
Server2 has QueueManager2 on AIX
We are not using MQ cluster , now on Server1, we have an application which run on WAS and put into a queue on QueueManager1.
My question is , how can the application put into QueueManger2 on Server2 once Queue Manager1 on Server1 is not available? How can I configure my application to do this? Do I need to install MQ client on the machine I am running the server on? ,,, Please advice the best approach to go about this... thanks much

Which version of WAS? There are differences between v5 & v6.
Look through the forum for CCDT and WAS for past discussions on how you might achieve this with your version. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Maybe you don't want this at all.
Maybe you want the entire WAS Server1 to stop and fail if the Queue Manager 1 is not available.
Maybe you want the entire WAS Server1 to move to the other machine as well, along with the queue manager.
But maybe you do want a CCDT. |

It's much easier on V6. You'll find a wealth of useful discussion in here. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
