Hi,

I just installed MQ 6.0 in my machine and I was using MQ 5.3 before.
After the installation of MQ 6.0, RFHUtilc v4.3 stopped working. I get the following error when I try to open RFHUtilc "The procedure entry point xcsFFST could not be located in the dynamic link library AMQXCS2.dll".
The tried using RHFUtilc v6 and v7, same errors. But rfhtuil works fine, the problem is only with the client version.

Is there any support pacs that I need to install on top of MQ 6.0 to make RFHUtilc work.

Thanks in advance,

Vadivel

RFHUTILC requires the latest client libraries to connect.

so point to that,

Did you install the client portion of MQ 6.0 on your machine?

There are 2 dlls that are missing in the later version of MQ that are needed by RFHUTILC Version 4 (but I thought this was not the case with version 6).

Going from memory now but I think imqc23vn.dll is one and I cant remember the other (didnt think its the one you mentioned though). Previously I have copied the missing DLLs to the bin folder of the MQ install to get this to work.

If you still have an old version of MQ you may be able to find these dlls from there. You should not have to overwrite any dlls and I really recommend that you dont.

If you look in the bin folder of the MQ Install, is the missing dll in there?

I have both the dlls (amqzsaic.dll & imqc23vn.dll) in the MQ6 install path/bin.

I copied just the bin directory of MQ 5.3 in the same folder as RFHUtilc.exe (so the these dlls take precedence) and tried to connect. Now the rfhtutilc.exe opens and I get 2059 error when I try to connect to a remote queue manager. The same connection string works from an other machine where there is only MQ5.3 installed!!!!

Did you also shake up the registry?

Start over. Uninstall MQ, delete any MQ folders to get rid of any garbage you may have been copying and altering. Reboot. Install MQ 6.0.2.6, download the latest version of rfhutil. Move on.

Not always they don't. Even though they should. Sometimes.

Welcome to Windoze.

This is what I had to do, to make it work.

    Un-install MQ 6.0
Delete the directories from the file system
    Restart the machine
    Install MQ 6.0
Copy the amqzsaic.dll from MQ 6.0.2 client library

Thanks
