We have to cut in to production in a few months with a new fdl with some major changes to it. The question I have is when we overwrite the old process template and servers associated with that and update the UPES info in workflow do the old inflight instances utilize the old info ie it keeps the server and process template state from before? I think what I am asking is clear to those who have done it before if not let me know.

Any pitfalls to this approach would help too. We want to let the old instances run there course while and new instances would use the new improvements.

Thanks
Rude

Jude:

The process instance (the whole thing) is cloned. So any "in-flight" instances are going to run using the "old" template as that is what they were created from.

Thanks John, this was what I suspected but just wanted to verify it and find out if there any gotchas.
