Dear All,

Am facing a problem with the installation of the Omegamon Monitoring agents in Solaris box.My target is to monitor the 10 brokers and queue managers in unix. The steps which i have followed is given below.

1. Installed Portal server and Monitoring server in windows server.
2. Installed Omegamon agents for MQ and MB in solaris using a new user which is included in mqm and mqbrkrs groups.
3. Configured the agents (host name of the TEMS is configured with that of the windows server, ip.pipe and port 1918)
4. Started the agents using the commands ./itmcmd agent start mq and ./itmcmd agent start qi.

Now am able to see the names of all the brokers and queue managers in my portal client. But am not able to see any queue, channel, execution group, flows etc. I have checked the logs of agents in solaris in /opt/IBM/ITM/log path. No errors are reported.

Can some one please help me to fix this? Any tip or link related to this will be of great help to me.

Thanks a lot in advance ..

Regards,
sarath

for MQ try starting your agent the following way

Dear Saper,

Thanks for your reply.

I have used that method only as i have multiple queue managers. The procedure which i followed was
1. Configured using ./itmcmd config -A
2. initially i have started using itmcmd agent start mq and same for qi.
3. The i have stopped it and started using the below command..

I have tried to edit the mq.cfg manually with a queue manager name. And that too is just showing the name of the queue manager in the portal client.

Is there any configuration to be done to start the flow of information from agents to TEMS?

Please send any useful link or commands as it is becoming very critical now ..

Regards,
Sarath

Dear All,

In a dcument i read that omegamon agent frame work should be installed prior to the agent installation. But while installing unix i didnt see any option for installation of agent frame work ... BUt when i tried the same in Windows, there is a check box to include Agent frame work also.

So wer is the agent frame work available in solaris installables??

Regards,
Sarath
