Hi
I have a query here.
I have created a queuemanager with the following spec for log files,one month before.
Primary Logfile:3
Secondary Logfile:2
Log file size:4096
Now I want to change these settings as below;
Primary Logfile:10
Secondary Logfile:8
Log file Size:16384
If I edit the existing qm.ini file and update it with the above entries,then restarting the queuemanager,
Will the queuemanager start running?
Will it accept the new entries?
Or Should I delete and recreate the queue manager with new entries?
Please clarify.
Iam not a MQ genius like you people.
Cheers

Changing the number of log files is OK, but the log file sizes are fixed at queue manager creation, and cannot be changed (CAVEAT: There are methods described on this board for getting around this, but I don't recommend trying it). _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

And yes, changing the number of log files requires a queue manager restart. |
