Hi,
i have a cluster set up On Windows2000.After disconnection interval the cluster sender channel is inactive but it is not pinging like when i used sender channel with out cluster.it show "The MQOPEN call failed.the queue manager issued an MQOPEN call to open an mqseries object.the call failed."
if i send messages then it becomes running state and every thing working fine. Why it is not pinging?
thanks,
venkat

Hmmmm. Just tried the same thing through runmqsc and the Explorer.
With runmqsc, the result is:
ping chl(to.eddieath2)
6 : ping chl(to.eddieath2)
AMQ9509: Program cannot open queue manager object.
And the error in the log file:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11/06/2001 14:13:07
AMQ9509: Program cannot open queue manager object.
EXPLANATION:
The attempt to open either the queue or queue manager object 'EDDIE' on queue manager 'EDDIEATH' failed with reason code 2085.
ACTION:
Ensure that the queue is available and retry the operation.
The only object in my setup called 'EDDIE' is the cluster name.
From the Explorer, I get a pop-up with the same message as Venkat gave, followed by:
Check the queue manager's error log for more information about the error. (AMQ4063)
Except that using the Explorer doesn't write anything to the error logs.
Looks like PING doesn't work too well on Cluster Sender channels.
Cheers,

Create a Namelist of the same name as your Cluster. Add a single name to this list, also the name of your Cluster.
Don't ask.
