Hi,
I am using MQ6.0 and WBIMB 6.0 on Solaris. I have the messages coming to the input queue of WBIMB Message Flows and being processed. But right now I don't have a system in place to provide number of messages processed per day by the flow. Is there any way to generate a report kind of thing showing the number of messages were put to the queue and number of message were processed from the queue?

use Monitoring softwares (eg:Tivoli/BMC Petrol etc etc)
it will help you get all the details
If you are using MB V6.1, where we can set up the Monitoring Events in the flow. _________________ Regards

Hi Gayathri,
Thanks for your response. Due to budget constraint we are not able to go for Monitoring softwares but as we are going to migrate to MB6.1 the monitoring setup on flows sounds interesting to me. As of now I haven't worked on MB6.1. COuld you please give me some link where I can explore the monitoring setup for MB6.1?

You still need monitoring tools to use the monitoring features in v6.1.
And they're not for what you want, anyway. They're for much more granular monitoring.
The answer to the question 'How do I generate a report on message statistics' is 'By using a monitoring tool'. If the value returned by the report is less than the cost of purchasing a monitoring tool, then you can either continue without the report or find additional value that the monitoring tool will provide and use that to justify the cost. |

You can write an API exit to generate the reports. |
