I am in the process of creating an MQ parser program in RPGLE. After MQGET wit reason code = o, i see that the buffer is consisting of junk data. I am able to see the messages using the WRKMQMQ option. Please suggest any solutions. |

Who put the messages there? What is the CCSID? Did you try a get with convert? |

Define junk data.
What did the message look like in the queue after the MQPUT, but before the MQGET? MQMD and application data.
What did the data in the buffer look like after the MQGET?
Did the message originate on the same qmgr? Or a different qmgr with a different code-page?
Post some of the BEFORE and AFTER data in hex here. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

An MQGET with Convert solved the problem. The CCSID was different as the message was put from a different system. |
