Can we install MQ6 and MQ7 on the same AIX box? Is yes, what may be the potential issues and solutions. Pls help.

Depends on what you mean by same box.

With the exception of z/OS, you can only have one version of WMQ installed in an operating system instance.

LPARs allow for multiple o/s instances in the same physical box, therefore multiple WMQ versions.

It also depends on what you mean by "install".

You can run the MQ v7 installer completely successfully on a logical operating system instance that already has MQ v6 installed on it.

This will do exactly what you have told it to do. This may or may not be what you expected it to do, and even more doubtfully will be what you wanted it to do.

But it's entirely possible.
