Hello All,
I am working on Windows XP platform with MQ7.0 and MB 6.1.
I am trying to enable the Accounting and Statitstics option(MB Explorer) for performance testing.
I added the IS02 v4 support pac to Eclipse.
After configuring the support pack, I am unable to start the broker Queue Manager. Then I started it manually through command prompt.
While starting the Broker Statistics , It is showing "Unable to connect to broker". Currently I got strucked up here.
Appreciate your help in advance. |

If the queue manager wasn't running, then the broker is probably not a good shape either.
So is the broker actually running? Check the system log. |

I agree... Best is to remove and recreate if possible... I've gotten corrupted QMs.... |

I used IS02 on WMQ v6. Initially I was impressed.
It then seemed to mess up MQ Explorer and made it unuseable until I removed the plug-in.
I presume it would be better for me to use WMQ v7 (for the explorer) on my PC even though the actual queue managers in my environment are all at V6?
Are there any reasons not to do this? |

Has IS02 been certified for WMQ V7 yet? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Support Pacs aren't certified as such, but it has been updated for V7 indeed it recommends using MQ V7 with IS02.
My question was whether using MQ explorer v7 (in general) to administer v6 queue managers was a good idea or not? |

If you use V7 to administer V6 qmgrs you should be able to set the version on the Qmgr setup. That should help with the connection...
Let us know how it works after you try it. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

I was hoping someone else would have already tried it.

Oddly enough, sometimes it is. Occassionally a member finds himself on the leading edge and all we can do is watch him sail into the new world. Hopefully returning to enlighten the rest of us with his experiences.
Which in the last analysis is all this board is. A lot of experience piled up in one spot. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
