timing msg transmissions

how can I measure the transmission time between two qmgrs ?
throughput,bytes/s,etc..

using the put/get time is not working since neither box has the time syncronized.

are there any free apps for this ?

Periodic use of the channel status (DIS CHS command) will give general info about # messages and bytes transferred.

The PutTime in the MQMD only has 1/100 sec resolution. To do proper timing of MQ throughput (PUT -> GET) you would need to store a micro second resolution high precision time in the message data.
