When calling an external webservice, apart from checking the httpS flag on the HTTPRequest node, do I need to do anything specific on the webservice caller side (message broker side)?

Do I need to install any certs or do anything ?

Can someone pls explain ?

I worked with HTTP on message broker before but it's the first time I am using httpS .

Thanks in advance.
ydsk.

you can look for the topic called "Configuring an HTTPRequest node to use SSL (HTTPS)" in information center documentation. Its pretty clear on your requirement. You should look for the documentation before you post any question in the forum.

dilse,

i want to hear from experts, and i can definitely say that documentation isn't complete/fool-proof always. i have been working with MB for a few years. you shouldn't post such replies without knowing the context of the post.

and broker_new,

thanks for the info.

You have been posting questions to this forum for a few years, that always appear to be asking for basic simple advice in questions that do not show that you have read the documentation.

Any context that should have prevented dilse from saying "Go read the documentation" was not INCLUDED in your post.

I read your message and said "ydsk should go read the documentation before posting this question, then it wouldn't be asked like this.".

If you HAVE read the documentation on a specific question, then MENTION THAT.

Don't assume that anyone knows anything you have not actually put into your post.
