Triggering is one method of instantiating an instance of a cics transaction/application. PLT processing is another.
As pointed out earlier, only one queue manager can be connected to a CICS region at a time. Viewed the other way, a single CICS region can connect to only one qmgr. It's the bridge task that does the MQCONNect - to only one qmgr at a time.
You might want to consider 1) having multiple CICS server applications in a single CICS in a continuous loop MQGETting from the same queue; and 2) having multiple CICS regions with bridges to the same qmgr with multiple MQGETTing applications. This should offer you considerable workload balancing and failover.
If you are parallel sysplex, a shared queue is the way to go.
WMQ V7 has a really cool 'already been browsed' facility that accomodates multiple serving applications. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
