Hi,

I am using MB v6.1. We use DB2 for broker database, I used mqsisetdbparms to set it up and the msgflows are running fine on the broker boxes already.

We also have a Oracle database for application databases that broker needs to access.

Do I need to run mqsisetdbparms command to setup Oracle database for the broker to access it ? Does it affect the DB2 setup already done ?

Appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance.
ydsk.

you need not run mqsisetdbparms for broker database... we provide broker db credentials while creating broker

Give mqsisetdbparms for all the DB which the flows would access and they can be of any type (supported obv :p)

Yes, you should run the mqsisetdbparm. So that flows can access the required database with user id specified user id in mqsisetdbparm.

Hope you have created the connection to the data source name so as to enable connection to your application database.

No.. since we provide the datasource name while executing the mqsisetdbparm...it does not affect the already set up databases.
