Hi !

I have an Websphere MQ CSD13.
I noticed that if any QM error occurs no AMQERR0x.LOG files and no .FDC files are generated.
Any idea?

If there are no error messages in AMQERR0x.LOG files and no FDCs then you did not have any errors. Or is this a "perceived" error?

You'd only get an FDC file for a internal error (2195 reason code). A lot of other "errors" are not logged but reported to the application; for instance an application issuing an MQGET call on a queue with get inhibited will get the relevant reason code, but the queue manager won't log it.

Yes, I know it.

I was a failure (channel program died). Both Windows Event Log (I run MQ on MSWin 2k3 server) and AMQERR01.LOG contained the error entry and an FDC file was created.

After a weeks th channel program crashed again the symptoms were similar. But only the Windows Event Logs contained errors.

I know the feeling. Don't worry about it.
