Hi,
I have created a topic called "Shipment/Data" in the remote system using control center by logging in to that system.
Now I want to register subscription and publication to that topic from my system. How should I subscribe to that topic. What commands should I execute and where should I?

Look at MQSI Programming Guide, Chapter 4 about the RFH2 headers and Chapter 5 - Pub Sub Command Messages. You need a program to create these types of messages for registering and publishing. The JMS/AMI (maybe) may be one source if you are using that, support pacs (IA61 or IA71 - Registration Utilitys) are good development and testing tools. From my experience, the act of publishing is done from within an application or created on the fly within a message flow by assigning a topic hitting the publish node. We have a large amount (15-20) of apps that create the RFH2 headers within our own framework and publish messages. The subscribing apps receive these messages via subscriptions (with the headers) and process them. Registrations can be static (seperate registration program) or dynamic (by subscriber on the fly). Apps do not need to be connected (static subs) to subscribe. Msgs can sit in queue till they are ready to process them. Read these and related chapters (Intro and Planning - Chapter #7 for starters) on Pub Sub to get a better understanding on how to use this type of routing in your apps. Good Luck.
