AMQ8417: Display Channel Status details.
CHANNEL(PAPA) CHLTYPE(SVRCONN)
CONNAME(100.100.100.100) CURRENT
RQMNAME( ) STATUS(RUNNING)
SUBSTATE(RECEIVE) XMITQ( )

When I DISPLAY CHS(PAPA) CURSEQNO, it does not display the current sequence number. Why is it so for the server connection channel?

It's explained in the intercommunications manual and the display channel status command in the administration manual

According to the manual:

Quote:
The following information applies to all sets of channel status, whether or not the set is current. The information applies to all channel types except server-connection.

Yes.

Server Connection/Client Connection Channel pairs do not use sequence numbers, because they are MQAPI channels rather than MQI channels. The network level traffic over MQAPI channels is fundamentally different than the network level traffic over MQI channels. Sequence numbers are meaningless and thus are not kept.

Consequently, MQSC will not report the sequence numbers that are not kept.
