Can some guide me for below task.... Thanks in Advance.
I need to move the entire Qmanager Configuration/Data which includes bulk of defined Queues,Channels and messages if anything pending on queue to new Qmanager on new machine.(Both are Linux machine and MQ V6.0 installed)
Moving /var/opt/qmgrs/<QManager> directory would help ?What else need to do?
Not sure how diffcult and possible
Thanks,

And the queue load / unload utility (MO03) to back up the messages. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

I think it's the configuration of a queue manager the poster is trying to move, rather than a config manager.... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

If you are using the exact version of MQ on the second machine, you should be able to just copy the qmgr directory together with the transaction log directory and copy the QueueManager section in /var/mqm/mqs.ini.
Preserve permissions while copying and make sure the correct ownership is set. |

In the logs folder. Do not move this from one queue manager to another. Unload from one qmgr, then reload & allow the queue manager to manage the transactions. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Installed same QM (same name) on new machine and moved /var/mqm/qmgrs/* files to new machine. QM started well on new machine with all config and data.
Thanks every one for help and comments... |
